Top 10 most expensive homes in America

(MoneyWatch) What is the most lavish home in America worth?

An astounding $190 million - by a long shot the most lavish bit of land put on the open market in late history.

Named, harmlessly, Copper Beech Farms, this Greenwich, Conn., property blew the last most extravagant home out of the water when it was recorded in May. Its forerunner in the top positioning was the Crespi Hicks Estate in Dallas, recorded at $135 million, which went available to be purchased in January and held the most extravagant title for a brief three months.

There are a couple of others that top $100 million, and soon thereafter most rundown prices drop off to a pitiful $75 million. Some of those aren't even homes in the feeling of a standalone structure and property that encompasses it - they're elegant Manhattan flats. Here's a gathering of the most lavish homes in the nation accessible for procurement - that is, whether you have millions and millions to spend.
